There was a tailgate party, cake and t-shirts to commemorate the occasion. Tuesday following the game, Coach David Cutcliff and the Duke football team presented Bob with a specially-made Duke football!

His Duke sports announcing career has spanned 11 NCAA Men's Basketball Final Fours, nine championship game appearances and FOUR national titles. He has called more than 1,000 Duke basketball games in his career. Bob is entering his fifth decade in radio sportscasting.
Bob has been honored twice as North Carolina's sportscaster of the year and has also received the Robert Marlowe and Ray Reeve awards for sports broadcasting. In 2006, he was inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame.
