Book Reviews and Comments

Thanks to all who have ordered my book and who have taken time to send a note. Some of those notes are added below.

I bought Bob's book because it was BOB's book! However, as I read it I began to see what a wonderfully written book it is. The stories are told in Bob's wonderful style and I could hear his voice as I read it.  Buy it because it is "Bob's Book" but read it because it is a very well written book.

Bob,

Just a quick note to let you know I loved the book.  You had me at pedal car!  I had one growing up that I would wash every time my dad washed the cars. The book
also seemed to make the State of the Union address go by a lot faster!
I think the biggest takeaway is you can do right, treat people right and still get where you want to go.  Great lesson for all!
Ricky

Bob,
I thoroughly enjoyed your book, HOW SWEET IT IS. It was fun to reminiscence the early years in Albemarle. What a great memory you have! I was amazed at the places you have been and the people you have met and interviewed. Being associated with Duke University and Coach Krzyzewski is an unbelievable experience. What a wonderful life you have had married to Phyllis and the Duke Blue Devils. May God Bless.  - Ken

Bob, enjoyed your book.  A must read for everyone who grew up in Albemarle
or who pulls for the Blue Devils.   - Bill

While reading your book, something neat happened. I could actually hear your voice telling the story! How cool is that?    - Lloyd

Dear Bob: I was in Albemarle recently and saw your TV interview with the Chamber of Commerce president. It has been many years since our days in Albemarle and Canton Baptist Church. I am still pastoring a church in Lincoln county and living in Cherryville. I send my regards to you and Phylllis. Rev. Ken Gibson

When it comes to sports boradcasting Bob Harris is the best in the business. This book was a total inspiration and a wonderful read! Bob is not only the best at what he does but is also a very genuine person with a heart of gold. There is only one way to describe the true blessing of having Bob call all the games for our beloved Blue Devils "HOW SWEET IT IS!"

Congratulations on all of your honors!!! You are the absolute best. When I am not at the football or basketball games, I ALWAYS mute the chatter on the tv and listen to you!!! Keep up the great work for another 400!!!!

Bob it was great to see you last night at the Charlotte city club. Thanks for the autograph and the picture. Dad and I both had a great time. The stories the former blue devils told were wonderful. When you drove to Albemarle last night I hope the bright lights of Locust didn't blind you.

Hi Bob, It's been many years since I've seen you but I still love to listen to your basketball play-by-play. I am now the Director of Nursing at the Salisbury Lutheran Home where Era resides. Give my love to Phyllis. I look so forward to reading your book. Lana
